A deep golden colour. The nose is intriguing, showing notes of Turkish delight, spent fireworks, apricot and lavender. The mid-palate is drying out a touch and it has a very salty finish.

DGs Birthday: Dark golden colour. Ginger, lemon, honey and iodine. The palate is medium bodied, with the acidity and fruit hanging on decently, while there are some caramel elements as well. Medium length. This is drinking well but certainly needs to be drunk.

The colour of this bottle was deep with amber tinges but it drank well. There are notes of white mushroom, toast, burnt orange, apricot and tarte tatin. It is buttery in the mouth with some exotic flavours and plenty of savoury/tertiary traits. There's a sprinkling of salty/iodine on the finish.

Difficult to guess given more advanced color and flavors. Not the precision you'd expect.
