This one seemed like it had the whole package. Most notable was the balance from 1st sip through to finish. It was so elegant with the right touch fruit, wood, depth and acidity It had a multitude of flavors that meshed/integrated beautifully. Pear, citrus, oak, stone.

750 ml; PnP; Robust nose of apple and lemon; bold but not over the top flavors of apple, pear, lemon curd, slight vanilla, very slightly yeasty. Very enjoyable new world chardonnay. Sadly, this is my last 2016 Golden Slope. Drinking very well now and will likely last another 3-5 yrs easily. This wine is a true bargain.

Last bottle was 2 years ago and my comments were it was a little burly around edges and needed to settle down. It has done that and burly is replaced by a slightly sappy finsih with acid cutting through a bit more. Very solid

Tried this a couple of years ago and thought the oak was a little too prominent. Much better spot today for my tastes as the acidity shines through a little more providing balance and verve.
Very floral on the nose with some citrus and lactic notes too.
Full bodied on the palate with citrus notes, Asian pear, and tropical fruit notes throughout. Peppery acidity really kicks in on a long finish.
