Pale and quite youthful raspberry red color. Open and expressive but also rather simple nose with vibrant aromas of sweet cherries and cranberries along with some brambly raspberry tones and a hint of reductive rubber. The wine is medium-bodied and somewhat soft on the palate with quite light and even a bit dilute flavors of ripe red cherries and raspberries along with some earthy spice and a hint of sour cherry bitterness. The acidity feels medium-to-moderately high and the tannins are very light and gentle. The finish is medium in length with ripe yet quite crunchy red fruit flavors, some sour cherry bitterness and a hint of earthy spice.
A simple and straightforward everyday Pinot Noir. Nothing bad, but lacking the playfulness and freshness I look for in a good Pinot. This is just very foursquare weekday wine with very little of anything to keep me engaged. Priced somewhat according to its quality at 10,40€.
