Prior bottle was exactly a year ago and my notes were again consistent as this wine remains at peak. White orchard fruit and citrus on the nose, again with a nice, subtle background mix of oak/vanilla. Medium bodied and like my prior bottle, open, expressive and balanced with white orchard fruits backed with lemon and other citrus notes behind. The acidity, combined with oak/vanilla provides a good bridge through to the finish. The wine shows good depth and has all the elements to continue to show well for another few years. I will save my last bottle for June/July 2024.

Prior bottle was a year ago and this wine continues to show quite well. White orchard fruit notes on the nose along with a touch of lemon and a light oak/creamy quality. Medium bodied with a flavor profile that was essentially unchanged: white orchard fruit upfront and through the middle with lemon, other tart citrus notes and acidity providing the backside contrast. When young, Sanford & Benedict can sometimes be a bit tight, almost angular, but with enough time (like this bottle), it evolves beautifully to show depth and balance. The balance between fruit and oak is what took center stage here which each bringing out the best of the other to the positive benefit of the wine as a whole. Has both the structure and the fruit to at least maintain, perhaps even show some slight additional positive evolution going forward. I'll plan to open my next bottle in June/July 2023.

Yellow, green colour. Oak, vanilla, lemon, smoke and butter. Medium length. Maybe a little too much oak, but otherwise a fantastic wine.
