Deep purple, plum color. A little mushroom and fruit on the nose. Not a lot of flavor. I get some generic fruit flavors and a little baking spices. I think there are better wines for the price.

Dark, inky colour with aromas of charcoal, blackberry, garrigues. The palate has intense blackberry and currant fruit, grainy charcoal flavours and texture on the mid palate and long finish. Very good wine for the price.

Soft entry, nose of current jam and a touch of smoked meat. Palate has mouthwatering acidity, but a slightly bitter and sour, bubblegum note and the fruit isn’t that attractive. Not expensive but not forgivably cheap either. Another example of why southern french wine aren’t necessarily great value. 87

Sunfish Cellars Grand Tasting (Just $10) (Sunfish Cellars/I Nonni Minneapolis, MN): A easy drinking wine. Fruit, minerals and oak. Nothing bad but not inspiring either. Priced right.

Good QPR. Crisp, berry fruit flavours, dry acidic finish with mild tannins, with the fruit lingering, and a dose of oak.
