  • Bottle opened several days ago, uncorked but refrigerated. Not the most intense or complex Kabinett as yet, but richer and more weighty in mouthfeel. You feel there is a lot hidden but I would still have preferred a little more sweetness and ripeness. Opened a Donnhoff ‘17 Oberhauser Liestenberg Kabinett at the same time, which has that extra zing, albeit not quite the complexity. Still how can you go wrong with any really well made Kabinett especially in today’s world of completely insane wine prices.

  • First from a case. Poured very pale and fresh looking. Nose was immediately arresting with white peaches and a touch of lime and some white flowers. Excellent balance and energy, loved the interplay of acid and touch of sweetness. Real classic kabinett sweetness and structure here, just what I want in a kabi. Showing young but beautifully. Glad I tried one now as a frame of reference of these show young, will look forward to the rest of a number of years. There's clearly a lot of development ahead.

  • Crisp, clean, all kinds of white fruit, already some complexety. I would tend to agree with Mosel Fine Wines: the real start for this is 2025.....

  • Blek strågul farge. Delikat og Moseltypisk nese av lys frukt og mineraler. Nervøs og og sjarmerende, men ganske tilbakeholden på dette stadiet, noe denne produsentens Kabinetter alltid er som unge. Nydelig ren frukt i munn.

  • light straw/golden color. Nose waxy with floral/honey notes. Palate light spritz at first, juicy, white nectarine character to the fruit with tart acidity. A wonderful transparency to the flavors, very nice. 92 pts
