  • Wednesday wine night at ES BK. Tasted over 2+ hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of slight barnyard funk, fresh red cherries, earth. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), soft medium tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of tart cranberries, red cherries, red plum, earth, some saline minerality. Long finish.
Very good quality. Elegant and nice drinking in the right window now. Like a good Cote de Beaune Premier Cru. Lacks the gravitas of a good Grand Cru. Well, it's an off vintage. Enjoyable nonetheless.
