Similar notes from my previous review - and as expected, almost exactly a year later.
Had poured a couple of glasses after opening and let sit while preparing dinner.
These “first pour” glasses lost their vibrancy waiting for me to grill up some NY steaks and finish off some veg appetizers. Subsequent pours from the open bottle retained the vibrant fruit I was expecting.
This tells me this is ready to rock as a pop n pour and likely won’t improve with further aging (assuming you prefer the fruit forward style).
On the nose this is Syrah heaven. In the palate, the jammy dark fruit hits hard and heavy with a full mouthfeel. The tannins are fully resolved and a bright acidity dominates a never ending (at least 3-4 mins) finish.
Very well done new world Syrah (if that’s your thing)!

Started off very closed. Let it breathe for 3 hours after opening and the wine came to life.
Classic Syrah on the nose. Ripe sweet fruit fills the glass with a touch of alcohol heat (14.9%) typical of Paso wines along with smoke and some green herbs.
Jada wines are sometimes a tad too fruit forward, but at this point the fruit has integrated nicely with soft tannins and crisp acidity.
On the palate, notes of cherry and red fruit provide satisfying mouthfeel and a very long finish.
Ready to go with a bit of air. Will finish my last bottle within the next year.

Blackberries, black cherries, berries, and some rich earthy notes, all emerge from this Merlot blend (33% Petit Verdot and 6% Syrah); ripe tannins, well balanced texture, and a great finish. Very enjoyable!
