Barbera wines are overshadowed by their Nebbiolo cousins when it comes to the international wine market, but this beauty is a perfect example of the reason Barbera is such a prized grape/wine by the Piemontese themselves. The promising plummy black forest fruit aromas you get on the nose are amply backed up in the palate. Good extraction, beautiful fruit, a solid backbone of acidity providing structure, and resolved tannins. An elegant wine that also pairs fantastically with food, particularly red meat dishes. Great price/quality ratio.

Veel alcohol - wanneer het alcoholgevoel verdwijnt komt de smaak van rijp, zoet fruit op de voorgrond
