Each to their own - for me, this hasn't improved since the last bottle tried in 2021. Pleasant aromas of lemon and honey, with a promisingly rich yet nuanced attack of the same, then it rather peters out, tasting even a little dilute. Not bad overall, there's a definite feeling of understated class. The problem is that there are so many options elsewhere offering more for less.

Vastly overpriced for what you get. It does have typical aromas of citrus fruits and honey, with quite a full-bodied mouthful of the same, and yes, it's a nice wine which will probably improve further. The richness midpalate is especially impressive.
But there is a slight lack of class, not enough precision, and leaves a nagging feeling that one has been had - because this costs around 50€.
For that price you can get two bottles of any Huet Sec or Demi-Sec (with change if you buy them young). Having had the 2014 too recently, I cannot honestly say that Clos Romans is worth one Huet, let alone two.

Wow so much power! We drank this side by side with the red Clos de l'Echelier and this white Chenin felt like it had more body, more power, more fruit and much more longevity. Classic full bodied Chenin blanc with minerality and acidity to balance it all. I say don't touch this for a little while...

I thought this was better than some of the previous commentaries. I thought it showed good precision and weight at this stage

Lots and lots of lemons. Little bit of wax but fairly simple
Would be good with Greek food, lemon potatoes, roast chicken
