Medium to pale ruby color. Beautiful red fruits - cherry, strawberry -, farm yard, wet stones aromas. Medium minus body with beautiful red fruit and earthiness. I can taste little sweetness at the end, which was very good. Complex with long finish.

This was delicious from the moment the cork exited the bottle. Beautiful sweetness without being overly ripe - like eating fresh strawberries and raspberries at peak season. An appealing whiff of meat and smoke gives the wine context. My partner calls this 'adult grape juice' - which is a very very good thing.

Consistent with prior note - it’s too good right now to wait.

Paul Pernot Cellar Visit, Tasting 2017s (Day 2, Visit 1) (Puligny-Montrachet): Tasting at the domaine. Ripe red cherry comes across as slightly jammy, but in a fun way. Hints of roasted meat on finish. VG overall, cellar for a few years for slightly more harmony that is certain to come.
