Yellow green M nose, citrus, mint. Opened more expressively later. Creamy palate with intense acidity Palate closed at first, opened towards the end of the bottle. Colour suggests aging, nose/palate was closed at first. I guess this is either reopening after a closed period or is closing down. Fore sure it has life in it.

Tasted this 2016 Ramonet Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Clos du Caillerets blind and I guessed it was a Sonoma Chardonnay due to its slightly awkward body and acidity balance. Fresh white orchard fruits and subtle lactic tone. Fresh fruity nose, rather big-boned but not concentrated, not a lot of acidity. Many 2016 white Burgundy is rounded and nice to drink young, especially from quality producers, but most probably lacks fruit concentration for long term cellaring. (87/100) Consistent score from tasting at the estate.

Les Gobeloteurs Tasting (Domaine Stéphane Ogier - Ampuis): Tasting, brief note. Cross-section of apple aromas and flavors with mint and spice throughout. Extroverted for Ramonet, this is nearly fleshy and very tasty right now with very good length.

Drank at Trivet
Beautiful wine with a very light palate and nose of citrus. Still too young
