COLOR: very pale gold, almost more SB-like; NOSE: waxy and scorched apple, new rubber (like an athletic shoe) and an almost tequila-like smell; PALATE: initial hit of lemon and meringue with a waxy finish. Feels very thin on the palate.

It was very aromatic and full-bodied on the palate, but it was also something of a shape-shifter. It seemed that every time I took a sniff or tasted it, the profile was completely different. On the nose, some of the more notable aromas were a strong floral component mixed with lemon curd, and pineapple: almost reisling-esque. Some of the flavor profiles, on the midpalate were pear, flowers, and then a solid apple juice component. On the finish, there was some oak that wasn't overpowering but felt a little out of place, some minerality, a flavor that reminded me of trail mix, and more floral notes. It should be noted that all of these aromas/flavors were not present at the same time, but rather seemed to cycle constantly through different combinations. That said, this wine could have been really interesting, however, the transition between the different flavors and aromas was a bit awkward.

Wines from the Old Country (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had peach, apricot, and floral notes. The palate was crisp, with lemon, yellow fruit, and spice. The finish was good.

Arcadian Fine Wines Tasting (Kate Portanova's Loft): Floral nose. Some heat - a bit tiring to drink.
