  Nose is voluptuously perfumed with ripe red and black fruits, dried dates, woody spice mix and meat stock. Colour is deep and inky red. Texture was however gritty and grainy and rather heavy bodied. Bursting with fruit on the palette, this burg lacked finesse and elegance. It did mellow out after about an hour in the glass whereupon the wine thinned out to a more rounded and smoother consistency. Taste wise, this wine left a good length of sweet ripe red fruits behind.
