  Still stand by my original score of 95. More time in the bottle has given way to lots of clean, soft melon flavors in addition to the apricot, cream, citrus zest and minerals. This is Charles Creek's best wine. Thought so in '05 when I first tasted this and I believe so now. It's a gem.

  La Sorpresa is a beautiful 24 carat gold color. Apricots and a bit of green apple on the nose. I first tasted this wine 2 years ago while tasting in Sonoma and fell in love - the bottle that I just opened has been in my cellar since then, and it has aged so well! La Sorpresa fills the mouth with a very silky combo of fruit, cream and slightest hint of minerals on the finish. This is my favorite chardonnay.
