Interestingly, an overpowering yeast aroma on uncorking is completely unnoticeable in the glass. Deep gold, with fine mousse and balanced acidity. Ripe apple and strawberry on the palate. Super easy to drink.

Short TN. Orchard fruit, apples, showing strong autolytic notes of yeast and sourdough, quite a bit of acidity. Little too Veuvey in style for my taste, but not a bad Champagne, esp at this price.

We opened for a party on Memorial Day weekend, two bottles. At the price paid, this is a great party Champagne. You can skip the various Cremants, Cavas, etc. and put out the real thing. It's tasty and dry, the bubbles might be a little aggressive, but let's not quibble too much: It's absolutely champagne but you can pop it with abandon. Looking forward to opening a weeknight bottle when it doesn't have to compete with all the other things I was drinking at the party. Compares favorably to my other "bargain" sparklers, the Harlin and the Domaine St. Gall, and just a notch below the all-Meunier from Gilbert Jacquesson.

50% Pinot Meunier, 25% Pinot Noir, and 25% Chardonnay. Disgorged: 04/2021, Dosage: 6 g/L
I tend to find Meunier dominant blends to be a little weightier and show more autolytic and aged notes. Terre de Solemme is no exception.
Pale gold color with a medium+ intensity of baked apple, pear, toasted almond, nutmeg, anise, brioche, and cream.
Dry with high acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%), and a medium body. The bubbles are tiny and persistent. A rounded mouthfeel and a medium finish.
