Lots of grapefruit in the nose, with grassy citrus flavors and more muted grapefruit on the lingering finish. Fresh, lively and mouthwatering, but not so over-the-top squeezy green as to make your mouth pucker like some other NZ SB's. I'd call this one a good value too.

Not impressed, but Asya liked this more than me at the tasting. Opened straight out of the cellar, perhaps it could do with being a bit colder. Bitter, astringent too-strong oak.

2006 looks like a good year for NZ sauvignon blancs. Has the traditional NZ characteristics one expects from Marlborough County, light, crisp and citrusy.

Housewarming Party (Tommy and Penney's House, Mount Pleasant, SC): Very grassy and almost herbal. Crisp.
