Needs a lot of air time, but manure nose gives way to mint. Intense and complex. Raisins, cassis, graphite, and mint. Better than some much pricier Amarones.

A delicious Amarone that's a solid QPR bottle. This is about as inexpensive an Amarone you'll find, and it's in a great place right now. The raisinated character is subtle, the color on the less opaque side, but still a medium-full bodied red with a mix of stewed fruits and some earthy notes to round it out.

Small tasting glass @ VINEUM during service, so a brief note. Delivers for a base Amarone. Candied fruit notes, nuts, chocolate, oak and in a suave finish. Bravo Alberto!
