From vines planted in sandy soils in 1926. With airtime scents of crushed rock and smoky minerals come from the glass accompanied by notes of plums, bruised red apple, dark cherry, spice, dried florals, wood smoke, sandalwood, and hints of tapenade and red meat. on the palate grippy tannins are met with bright penetrating acids. This wine shows good extraction and fruit density across the palate. Flavors of hibiscus and rooibos tea, dark cherry and wild berries, plum and red apple skin that meet notes of spice, earth and rock, sandalwood, and hints of mineral and floral pastilles. The structured finish is long and evolving. Drinking in its peak I suspect.

Nice sweet fruit, touch more grapey than usual. Lacking the energy of other vintages from him. Maybe give it another 2-3 years?

Lovely sweet candyfruit nose. Juicy and tasty palate with good freshness. Great wine.

Had this side by side with Bouland Corcelette '14. '17 Delys is very primary right now, love the texture/body of this wine. Will revisit 3-5 years.
