This vintage is very similar to the 2013 with its fruit forward attack of black cherry, Asian 5 spice and touch of vanilla on the finish. As always, this cuvée is more New World than the Rho cuveé. Nothing wrong with it, but it’s just not as nuanced or as layered as the Rho. Decent mouthfeel and length on the palate. Well made, yes, but nothing to stands out about it. No sediment. 14.2% alc. … just like the 2013. With grilled yellowfin tuna in a deconstructed niçoise salad. 05.20.23. Recommended.
