Red berry start-to-finish, delicately floral with good weight. Still slightly tight and firm from middle through finish giving a faintly rustic edge for now. Better from 2025.

Soft nose, gently aromatic: raspberries and rose petals. Decanted at my request but does not feel like it was needed. Very approachable on the first sip. Gentle velvet on the mouthfeel. Balanced red fruit profile with easy earthy tones. Graceful in its delivery it's a wine easy to overlook waiting for another Volnay flavor wave to hit. What you would miss is the deft touch of lightly complex red fruits and black tea notes that sneak into every sip. Nice medium length finish rounds out this wine warmly. This drinks like a winemakers wine where craftsmanship won out over power and presence. Addendum: while this note correctly identifies its drinkability and fine showing at basically pop-n-pour, after 45- 60 minutes decanted much richer complexity elevates this wine. Highly recommend giving this some air to properly experience its true mettle.

Medium red, good acidity, slight raisin smell, sour cherry fruit flavours, tannins are moderate. The acidity makes this very refreshing and more of a food wine. This doesn't have the complexity or softness to be drank alone. This just may need more time to balance out.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. More red vs black fruit with an elegant character, yet also firm in the middle with roasted meat on finish. 89-90 point potential.
