Very good at first sniff and first taste it does not scream sauv Blanc … but as it opens up the grapefruit aromas start in, also creamier then most sauv blancs

Reticent bouquet for a Sauvignon Blanc - soft white peach fruit means it is more like a dry white Bordeaux than many a Loire Sauvignon but some flinty notes too - very good .

(Domaine de Reuilly Les Pierres Plates) Albino Rocca Tasting at Full Pull EVENT: We will be hosting a complimentary tasting of the wines from Albino Rocca for our list members tonight from 5:00PM-7:00PM. Albino Rocca is among the leading modern wineries in Piedmont, and has long been one of our favorite producers from the region. Stop by anytime on Thursday evening—feel free to bring your friends—and taste through five wines from the current Albino Rocca lineup. Some of the wines will be available for purchase that day only. No need to RSVP if you’re coming to taste, but please do try to make an appointment in advance if you will be picking up wine. --- Hello friends. Once each quarter this year, we’ll be offering wines from 36 Bottles of Wine, my book that was released last September. We’re going to try to assemble all nine wines from the three months in question, but it won’t always be easy; some categories are only available during certain times of the year. My overarching goal is that we’ve offered all 36 wines at least once by the end of 2019. Also, if you’ve read the book in recent months and enjoyed it, please consider writing a review on Amazon or Goodreads. It’ll help other like-minded folks discover the title. Thank you! A crisp, grassy Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley, consumed on one of those mid-April days that contains the first kernel of the warmer months to follow, ideally drunk alongside a slab of fresh goat cheese; here is one of the wine world’s gifts to humanity. Springtime subsumed into liquid.
