Pop and pour. Not quite ruby, but more pale purple in color. Classic red and dark berry aromas along with some graphite.
Medium-plus body with fine medium-plus tannins and firm acidity. Excellent balance. Stewed cherry, cassis, cocoa, white pepper, and nutmeg flavors here with the spices being especially prominent on the finish. Great cool climate character, but with the ripe fruit from a relatively hot and dry vintage. Good length on the finish.
Really well-crafted wine, and one of the more refined reds I've had from the Finger Lakes. Awesome now, but this may well be a great cellar candidate too.

Dark berries, red berries, baking spice, cocoa, medium tannins, medium minus acidity, medium finish. Well balanced.
