  • When you think of the Yarra valley you think of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Here we have a Shiraz, which is being grown in increasing popularity in this area and it's easy to see why.
This wine is medium body shows a light meat nose.
    Very light tannin
A touch of oak, not drowning in it.
fruit driven wine in a medium bodied style.
Just enough going on to maintain interest and it's drinking very well now but could be cellared for at least another five years as long as there is still a bit of tannin.
i think this wine is very sound as I could not smell any methylated spirits/alcohol on the nose.
The wine itself came from a very very small parcel of shiraz and to be honest the area is showing potential for shiraz.

    April 2020

I keep coming back to this wine and am always surprised at how well it is holding up. pretty easy for me to empty the bottle of two days.

A bit of alcohol on the nose but not offensive
