Not my style for a Pinot Noir. I tasted a lot of neutral wood and leather. The only fruit I tasted was on the 2nd day and it was plums/prunes! Possibly more fruit on the 3rd day, but I was focused on basketball! The fruit that I expect in a Pinot Noir is either a strawberry and/or cherry fruit undertone!

I’ve been holding off on drinking any of these because of the poor average score here on CT. Turns out I shouldn’t have worried. This is a good wine. Maybe a little more oak than I’d prefer, but smooth and balanced with a decent finish. No complaints. Clark's reputation is secure.

Bright acidity, cranberry and maybe some stewed raspberry. This bottle had a little bit of undergrowth funk and barnyard that never blew off. It wasn't bad or distracting, just there. Color was a darker ruby with a touch of browning. Kind of agree with the other reviews that it's a good "red" wine, but doesn't scream PN.

I had 5 more bottles of this vintage. The initial pouring of this second bottle showed color that was more translucent and more typical of a Pinot Noir. The flavors were more typical of the varietal with cherry and spice. As the bottle was consumed, the 2nd day was similar to the 1st day, but on the 3rd day the wine lost it's initial characteristics. All I could taste was a very woody aged wine. The 1st bottle was off color and the horrible taste wasn't due to cork taint or oxidation. The cork was in great shape! I've had other bottles from this vintner that were way off and I'm wondering if the filling lines he uses isn't flushed from the prior product. Whatever the problem comes from I haven't seen this issue from the hundred or so other vintners that I've bought wine from. With that said this vintner has made some excellent wines!!
