Poor QPR here. I know Burgundy is hardly a value play at the best of times, and wine here in Ireland is overpriced, but this is not at all worth the 79 Euro I paid for it. I remember tasting the 2016 Ardèche from this producer a while back, and this isn’t much of a step up, despite being from a much more renowned appellation. Complaints aside…nose is muted at first, slowly opening up with notes of cream and lightly-spiced orchard fruits - apple, pear, maybe even some quince - along with a chalky, mineral impression. Palate is clean and crisp, with lemony acidity and a welcome touch of pithiness and grip on the finish. I don’t see much upside for holding these.

Decent after chill and decant. Multiple enjoyed with Turkey dinner and fixings. Lemon tart with toasted brioche and slight white flesh stone fruit notes Not heavily mineral driven, but not oak filled either. Well balanced. Enjoy again.

Good concentration but not the same yield. Has some premier cru into this. the palate is rounded, not paritcularly long but this is the first time in a long time I've tasted Louis Latour.

Scotty Shears Blind Pinot Parade (Shear's Grotto): Leaner styled Puligny-Montrachet. No noticeable oak on the nose with a touch of lemon and faint vanilla. Showing precision on the palate, fruit acid and structure well balanced together.

From a 375. Smells very clean with citrus. Good weight on this. Nice mouthfeel. Balanced acicity makes this refreshing. Lemon. Gorgeous and generous palate makes up for shyness on the nose. Hint of wood near the finish. Nice length on it. Enjoyable all around.
