Dark inky purple colored, medium full bodied, tight, structured, bold, forward, concentrated black fruits with notes of cedar and hints of cassis, pepper and smoke. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2022/10/gala-family-celebration-calls-for-for.html

Still too young, but this is clearly a very good wine in development. Black plum, cherry and cassis with sweet spice aromas. Similar flavors come across as slightly riper today, but with the substance and dry extract that makes me confident this will soften and evolve into a real beauty, with 92-93+ point potential, probably 2024-2036+.
Coravined on day one, then opened nearly a week later and consumed over an evening in a Grassl 1855. Although I didn't remember this aspect as prominently from a previous bottle, the oak is really pronounced on this wine. It has some smoke with dark fruit and cedar on the nose. A meaty, bloody wine with black and blue fruits, full in texture and alcohol well concealed at 14.4%. A rich, steakhouse sort of wine, but I felt the oak was a bit heavy handed. If not for that, you would identify it quickly as new world syrah for sure.

Dense, ripe and creamy. Great weight and purity of fruit while maintaining balance. Central coast fruit vinified in Oregon I’m told. Harrison is a very talented winemaker

A stunner. Clearly a new world syrah but layered with freshly picked dark berries and dried herbs. Despite 14%+, drinks much lighter on its feet.
