Community Tasting Notes (3) Median Score: 89 points

  • Sweet and flabby. Pear and mineral but just not enough acid to make this appealing. Abandoned after a few sips.

  • Previously tasted at the winery just a few weeks ago and wanted to confirm those notes. Initially, lots of apple on the nose, switching to more tropical notes as it warmed. Close to medium bodied with apple and pear upfront. Nice roundness and depth through the middle. Brings in some hints of tropical qualities, but the acidity on the backside, along with the lemon and other tart, citrus based notes contribute balance. It doesn't have quite the depth or complexity of the best 2016 FLX rieslings, but it does have solid balance and a good mix of fruit notes. Drink over the next few years.

  • Tasted at the winery. Softer nose than the Dry Riesling, with more floral qualities as well as tropical fruits. To the lighter side of medium bodied (11.3% ABV, 1.47% RS) this showed a good mix of orchard fruits upfront. Slightly better depth through the middle than the Dry Riesling and slightly better overall balance. Lemon, citrus and minerals mark the backside. There is a richness here, but only really a touch of overt sweetness. The balance is helped greatly by the acidity and tart notes towards the back. It doesn't have the brightness of the Dry Riesling, but makes up for it with more balance and better managed transitions. Should drink well over the next few years.
