Fruit bomb with a density of character simple but very tasty. Probably better drinking early to enjoy the fruit density and flavours rather than leaving long term. Soft tannins already that are integrated with the fruit and acidity

Deep purple. Long legs. Complex nose. Strong backbone of black fruit flavours, typical shiraz smoke and leather. Overlain with mint and mineral notes. Big, big palate nicely opened with generous fruit and sufficient acidity. A tad too sweet. Medium to long finish. Very satisfying but not built to last. Drinking now to 2021. Would I buy again? Yes if still at this price level.

Complex aromatics of ripe raspberry, menthol and mint. It is a dense and inky wine with loads of power and the lingering taste of licorice once swallowed.

Barossa be consumed (Carriageworks, Redfern): concentrated blackberry and black cherry, sweet spice, vanilla cream. Equally concentred on the palate means that the dark fruit deals with the big oaky tannins just fine. Time

Barossa be consumed (Carriageworks, Redfern): Red and black berry, very slightly reductive, sweet spice, slight cherry….on the palate it has brambly blackberry, massive tannins, tit of a beast by quite savoury rather than confected. Hmm
