  • The dark red colour doesnt show any signs of age and the nose boasts everything you want from a great baga wine: red fruit under a forest floor and fireplace notes. You can sense the controlled austerity on the nose itself. The mouth is full bodied and velvety with the fruit never in foreground despite the (good) ripeness. The forest notes, the burned pine needles are really in your face giving it a very unique complexity. Ultra long and with loads of energy still....a tannin or two in the mix saying there's no rush to drink it. That being said it's in a great spot right now! Im always left with the feeling that these wines can last forever....my last bottle of the 2001....snifff
