This was one of my favorite Wind Gap Pinot cuvées from the crazy deals that came after the label was sold. Incredible value for $16+ for sure. Would not have realized it was 100% whole cluster if the label didn't tell me.

Medium ruby color, 60% opaque, clear and sound, no sediment. Expressive bouquet of typical Pinot notes with attractive berry and floral scents. Medium weight palate and a good spread of nice flavors and added depth, with a sexy little smoky tail on the finish. 5+11+16+8= 90 I would like to add that in my 20 years of buying better wine than what the supermarket sells, the deal that garagiste offered on these Wind Gap closeouts ranks as #1 for my bang-for-the-buck award. I bought 26 bottles of various WG at an average at $15. Now I want to find an equivalent producer of this style, even at twice the price.

Enjoyed this over two nights. No secondary ferm issues here. Purchased via Garagiste. Lovely dark fruits, balanced acid, savoriness and nice use of whole clusters. Many years to go.

Did not decant. Light bodied, even for a pinot, with low-medium acid and less fruit. Still food friendly, but I wanted more fruit.

Both bottles I opened were effervescent, undergoing (I think) a secondary fermentation.
