brilliant ruby colored. nose initially a little tired but sprung to life with air. shows savory soy notes with limestone, strawberry, fig, and cardamom. light bodied with fresh acidity. tons of earth on the palate with sour cherry and young strawberry flavors. finishes with fine tannins, autumn leaves, and orange peels. long finish. good but time to drink.

dense ruby color with surprising absence of bricking. maple, dusty limestone, faint lead, dried sage, cherry pie, plum, and rich red berry fruits on the nose. medium plus bodied with medium grade integrated acidity. relatively smooth and fresh. deep flavor with cooked cherries, red berries, red plum, and autumn spice on the palate. a bit of green herb at the edges. some grainy tannin at the back. finishes long and dry with low grade alcoholic heat. good now, drinks about half it's age, stuffing to grow into greater complexity.
