  • Oak prominent nose to the point of tropical fruit and coconut notes. The palate, however, has really nice acidity, body and a more citrus fruit profile. Delicious, but big up front.

  • Pop and pour. Opened at room temperature.
Upon pulling the cork, I got a whiff of fresh stone fruit, pineapple and beeswax.
    Golden color.
Nose offers some white stone fruit, hint of pineapple, apple and some lanolin. Touch of butter. The room temperature certainly amped up the bouquet on this wine.
Good tart fruit and acidity on the intro, fanning out with lemon oil, white unripe peach and pear, that pineapple element and a touch of hazelnuts and butter on the finish. A saline note adds some nuance.
Wile not a big, oaky buttery wine, there is a richness to this balanced by the acidity that lifts the wine and then framed on the end with some nuttiness of hazelnuts and almonds.
    Enjoyable.

  • Very rich gold color. Nose: sun-warmed hay, ripe juicy pineapple, baked apple, lemon, mint, and just a touch of really pure, mild butter. Palate: great medium-high acid, zesty, quite grippy-phenolic, a little oily-nutty, a little saline, very grippy-dry on the mid-palate. Finishes juicy, savory, and very long with potpourri. Amazing texture, wonderful complement of fruit, lees, and oak. Quite a remarkable wine. 14.1%, $68.

  • Golden yellow color. The oak leads on the first sip but then blends beautifully into the bright acidity, lemons and sour green apple flavors. This has a real sense of verve, salinity and minerality. Full bodied with a nice persistent finish.

  • Best US produced Chardonnay we have tasted. Bright straw color. Apricot and apple on the nose. Green apple on the front of the palate followed but a hint of peach and nice bright minerality on the end.
