  Pourred and drank through 2h.
  Drinking seamlessly now.
  A complex Goutte d’Or.
  Classic nose of almond, frangipanne, white flowers.
  Palate adds yellow fruits and evolving voluptous lactic notes. Great length.

  high marks for deliciousness, Lafon has done well in this vintage in my experience. Moderately reduced and fresh, the fruit is pleasing and leans towards riper citrus and stone fruit. I don't detect much in the way of minerals, and there's moderate density/depth of fruit. I'm not sure these get better but they're in an excellent place right here

  Electric yum yum sauce. Spreads across the palate and lights up every tastebud. Snap, crackle, KA-POW!
  
  Surprised how accessible this was from the first sip. Of course it *could* develop many more years, but it’s difficult to regret drinking “too young” when it makes you do the happy dance.
  
  This wine possesses that truly special character of the greatest Burgundy: providing immense pleasure with pure and delightful fruit — while also stimulating the intellect with countless beautiful and subtle nuances revealing themselves from moment to moment. It’s a wine that would thrill newbies and geeks alike.
  
  Yet another stellar ‘17 from Comtes Lafon, wow did the winemaker nail this vintage. I am almost tempted to try a bottle of Perrieres — but that would truly be infanticide no?

  Meget pen nese. Knapp og noe reduktiv. Vanskelig å ta som Lafon på dette unge stadiet. Ren og strålende. Så utrolig god i munn. Beskjeden modning på frukten. Utrolig bra syre. Moden, men vibrerende/elektrisk. Lang og syrlig.

  Lafon's Goutte d'Or always gives me the sense it comes from a plot with more clay than elsewhere in this storied vineyard, producing a weightier and fleshier than other producers, here veering toward white orchard fruit. Grapefruit and citric tang on the palate suggests more time in bottle. Drink starting 2024.
