Drink with Wiener schnitzel, this was perfect, rich but refreshing, lowish alcohol. Red cherries on the nose, Autumn fruits zingy acidity, earthy spicy notes, some forest floor notes. A little tannin and a slight acetic note. Nothing frightening and it works really well with rich food. Very drinkable and delicious. Sweet fruity finish. One for Burgundy lovers. Last glass of this and it has developed a rose petal like aroma. Very nice.

Purple colour, cerise on the edge. Nice purple, spicy nose.
In the mouth a lovely sweet fruit on the brighter purple spectre, some pepper, acidity and tannins for the endurance of coming years. Not far from a quality Beaujolais, with some of the North Rhone, although lighter. The nose actually reminds me of Bordeaux. But I guess this is the nature of Blaufrankish, and my lacking Austrian references.
In some sips i keep thinking of a natural wine as well, don't know if it due to the berries or the winemaking practice. Drank over three days. increasingly harmonious. Great qpr! Stable and interesting, usually something you must go far up in quality to achieve. Still not the most complex comparing to the big ones. Don't be afraid to have a crack.

the wine is clear, medium garnet core with a thin watery rim, developing
Nose is clean, medium intense aromas of sour cherries, whiff of vanilla, dark plums, some herbs, hint of acetone, some mineralic notes, develping
Palate is dry, medium+ acidity, medium and a bit astringent/greene tannins, medium body and flavour intensity, medium alcohol, aromas of sour cherries, plums, fruitstone, herbs, thyme, long finish
Somewhat unbalanced with the alcohol seeming higher than it actually is, long finish dominated by the freshness and fruitstone aromas, almost medium+ intensity, medium complex and quite concentrated. Overall a very good quality wine that can be kept for some years, but gets some deduction beacuse of the acetone aromas (could offcourse be bottle variation) and the alcohol that seems a bit unbalanced. 86p
Aromatic, with attractively sour plum and kirsch notes. A bit dumb on the palate on Day 1 but showing more on Day 2, with a nice balance between the sweetness of the fruit and the relatively elevated acidity, and a pleasing lightness of touch

Earthy, dark red spiced fruit. Balanced acidity. Open and quaffable due to lack of tannins, but not as attractive, deep and seductive as Cru Beaujolais can be at the same price point.
