Visual: Dark, clear crimson color. Nice smooth coloring, no clouding, but transparent at the edges.
Nose: Very strong, sesame, cedar, stewed red fruits and hot alcohol are wafting from the glass which is 2 feet from me.
Palate: Hot, dark fruits, cinnamon, and drying tannins. A few secondary cherry notes appear on the mid-palate before a burning stewed fruit sensation quickly extinguishes it.
Another wine that is an old left over. Not in my wheelhouse. If you like Pierre Rolland styled wines or those of Helen Turley, you will be a fan. I am not.

Tough light to discern hue, but do not see much orange; nose is less advanced than the mouth, still showcasing some of the darker aromas of syrah; menthol, tar, some blackberry jam; a little blood, but less garrilous than I had expected; first mouthfeel = advanced, slightly maderized; a little hot, a little iffy; after a few minutes, it is starting to pull itself together; let's see what happens in a half hour (did not decant for this possibility of fragility) After 30 minutes, more solid, yet still weak Signed bottle by Juliana makes up for the over-the-hill wine!

Reddish orange, hazy hue. Notes of blood orange peel, green peppercorn, dried cherries, prunes, vanilla and brown spice. Broad n' heavy mouth-feel, juicy palate with a somewhat cloying sappy character that seems to lack tannin. Finishes rather hot.

Killer syrah nose - dark fruit and peat moss and pepper. The palate shows dark cherries, pepper, some peat/forest floor and is dominated by green olives (think picholine) which are offputting. Corked and back in the fridge to see what happens overnight.
