More red than black fruits. Pretty and fruity, with notes of raspberry purée, cherries, and some blueberry. Nice change from the mocha and vanilla flavor profile.

Full-bodied with blackberry, black cherry, and black currant flavors. High in alcohol but doesn't really taste that hot. Smooth and drinking very well. I was concerned that this might be over the hill but it seems like it still has several years of life - though I don't think it will improve over the way it is drinking now.

In a sweet spot for me. On the big side for sure, but in the context of Oz Shiraz, well-behaved and decently balanced. Mid-palate impression is one of rich fruit. Slight heat creeps in on the finish, but not enough to be distracting. $22 via auction, this was a good QPR.

This is a classic, big, teeth staining Aussie Shiraz, with in your face black raspberry, cassis, some earth, some cola notes and a fair amount of black pepper on the med length finish. But as big as it is, all the edges are soft and round. For my tastes this is at its peak. When Shiraz and CDP start showing the stewed characteristics of raisin and prune I find them to be less enjoyable, and if I use my imagination and really look for it, I can just barely taste hints of stewed fruit in this bottle. But, all in all, today this is quite nice.

DEEP BERRY FRUIT AND CLACK CHERRIES IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. NICE COMPLEXITY AND A LONG FINISH.
