Good+. Drinking at peak, or at a minimum, very much in its preferred zone, though not sure I'd age more than 3-4 more years as freshness will likely wane. The acidity isn't quite what I'm typically looking for with this volume of fruit, but the wine pulls it off in good fashion. As usual for this wine, a sensation of sweetness without actual sweetness; med+ body. That said, I reckon for many this is as just as good on its own as with food. Not the greatest value. recommended
Dinner at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): New producer to me; this is a pretty good rendition of vermentino. It has a bit of the salinity, but on the midpalate, there's a really awesome dose of ripe fruit. However, this wine never becomes sweet despite the fruit, which makes this all the more intriguing. Good breadth and acidity.

Winebar [1 Rosé, 4 Whites, & 9 Reds] from 12/20/19 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Typically, “100% Vermentino, vines ave 35 yrs of age, from vyds in Castelnuovo Magra & Ortonovo (SP); Hand-picked to crates, maceration on the skins for 48 hrs, after racking, fermentation, & vinification in temp controlled, s/s tanks; Aged in s/s tanks until March/April.” 4,166 cases made.
Slightly too cold
N: Slightly closed; Minerals/lemons, but with creamy notes?
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt deftly offset by a crisp acidity which defines the wine into & through the lONG, balanced, POSS very, VERY slightly bitterish, tangy/swt finish. For now & through '20. 13.5% ABV; My VG+/EXC-. 90 pts ea WS (Larner, 12/'18) & WS (11/30/18), and 17+/20 Jancis Robinson (Speller, 3/6/18). [This vendor's $19.95 is $5 < wine-searcher's lowest!]

Cantine Lunae Bosoni Informal Tasting (Praelum Wine Bistro): Aromas showing complexity, ripe tropical fruits and at the same time sweet spices and bread. At first, you’d think there is oak treatment but there’s none - this complexity was achieved through 12-hour maceration and 3-month Sur Lie. Similar cool spicy sense on the palate, and a pretty persistent finish

Tasted at Summerhill LCBO 2017 Cantine Lunae Bosoni Colli di Luni Lunae Vermentino was clear pale lemon in colour with honeyed nose of citrus lemon and apricot. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, dry and a bit spicy with high level of acidity. The medium finish was refreshing and honeyed. (90)
