Incredible QPR - sour dark red cherry - a mineral spine on the mid palate with a nice zippy finish! It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that zing …… do-wop, do-wop, do-wop da da

Last of 20(!) bottles. Just an amazing pizza or pasta wine, fresh and decently complex with good length. Some variation but never bad and sometimes kind of great. So far the '18 doesn't seem nearly as good, but I have a few more bottles of that vintage so hopefully it settles into something resembling this. If not, I'll check out future vintages as this has been a great value.

Found another bottle at Vin Vino in Palo Alto on the 20%off shelf. I just can't pass up discounted wine. Opened to meaty nose full of dry fruit with a tart smack. This evolved into a candy of musty dust. Palate held sweet tarts with a yummy tang with bits of energy that built.
Enjoyable on a hot day with some tenderloin rare over arugula sprinkled with 12 year aged baslamic and Portugese Lentrisca.

Crisp sour dark red berries with some tension and spice.

Left half bottle on the table undecanted overnight 30 hours to enjoy with my beef, onions, and asperagus over spinach.
Reallly delicious.
Some of that rusticity burned off and left a very fruity and bright drink.
Quality, that would say was better the next day.
