  • PnP. Black raspberry and blackberry, tar, some violets, some underlying earthiness. Still a very dark color, but more cohesive than my notes from 2 years ago. In theory, this is a cuvee for earlier drinking, but I still think this will hold for another 3-5 years, but this is my last bottle. At 12.5%, it does have a leaner style from a region where it's increasingly hard to find wines under 14% because of climate change. I got these on close out for $15 in the pandemic and they were an incredible value.

  • Consistent with previous note. Blackberry, dark plum, violets, currents, herbs, some tar and earth. Medium+ acid, fine grained tannins. Slightly leaner body. The higher acid adds to the leanness of the body. I really love the leaner, taut quality of it. Likely should have held this longer since it has good structure to age, but this is really good right now (assuming you like more AFWE style wines). I have one more bottle and will hold it for at least another 2-3 years (or more) to see where it goes.

  • Grenache and Carignan blend. Purple color, blackberry, plum, some herbs and flowers, some minerality. Fruit is forward in aroma and palate but the medium+ acidity is fairly prominent in the finish, giving it a slightly tart finish. 12.5% alcohol is nice in a region that's increasingly making higher alcohol wines because of the climate. Acidity makes it a nice food wine. Has the bones and structure to age until 2026, maybe longer
