This wine is aging beautifully, previous reviews were simply tasting a big Napa Cabernet too early. Tannins are nicely integrated, dark fruit is just right, alcohol is not an issue. Enjoy, we did!

Del Dotto Tasting + Barrels & Beasts; 10/5/2018-10/6/2018: From barrel. The Rutherford became lost in the sea of other barrel samples that were a bit more compelling than this somewhat simple representation of its terroir. I could drink it, and it went fine with some buttery textured prosciutto, but as a stand alone, I lost a little interest in it. Some nice black cherry core fruit, but not a lot else to lift it (no...no “dust” to speak of here folks). The tannins and alcohol were also a bit on the harsher side.
