  • Opened this at Burlamacco Ristorante (East Coast) over a family dinner. We had Pan-Roasted Mozzarella Wrapped in Parma Ham, Baby Rocket Salad with Parmesan cheese, Angel Hair with Crab Meat Cooked in ‘Lobster Bisque,’ Potato Dumpling served with Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce, Beef Sirloin Steak and Oven Baked Lamb Rack.

Pale greenish gold in colour, with a captivating and enchanting nose filled with golden green apples, caramel, oak, pear, loaded with lots of fresh acidity.

Delicious and additive. Went very well with the ham and cheese we had.

  • Flavour explosion right off the bat. Like a Chablis on steroids, with heaps of minerality/flint notes. Oak, petroleum, tropical fruits and citrus. Very high acidity day 1. Day 2 it mellows out quite a bit, still lots of minerality, but creamier and less acidic and really long. Will be interesting to see how it evolves over the years.

  • Opened this at Tunglok Signatures (Clarke Quay) with my wine mates. Theme of the dinner: Wines that start with N.

Gold in colour, with notes of fresh minerals, touch of metallic, some wet rocks. Lean, fresh and delicious.

  • Chardonnay ”tropicale”. Plenty of punch in this bottle. Maybe a bit over the top, but I enjoyed it. Reasonably priced in the $20-$25 range.

  • Being a big fan of the pinot noir from this maker, I was excited to try the chardonnay, but I must say, I was quite disappointed.

A strange mix of tropical notes, and then green flavours, with an overall unbalanced palate that was overpowering at times, and didn't really have the harmony I hoped for from a cool climate chardonnay.

    I wouldn't buy again.
