Final bottle of the six pack, and I am not quite as impressed as my last note, but still this is a pleasant enough wine. Some ripe stone fruit character, citrus, a touch of green. The balance just isn't quite there on this wine, at least on this showing. Drink up.

I think this is around the 3rd bottle from a six pack picked up for about €12/bottle in France. I wasn't convinced by the first bottle, finding it a bit fat and lifeless. The next two have been better. This is mid yellow, with a ripe apricot/stonefruit nose and just a hint of green which detracts slightly. Ripe and mouth filling on the palate, this is reminiscent of several excellent Chenin Blancs I had last month on holiday in Angers. While not quite as good as the best of them, at the price I paid, the value is very fair. I would suggest drinking sooner than later.

A nice SA chenin, with perhaps a touch more oak than I’d like to see, but it is young, and there is a lovely, complex nose of wool, mandarin orange, oak and stone fruit, and rich, concentrated flavours of pears, stone fruit and oak notes. Very good QPR, and I’ll buy more and give it a few years (B+/A-).

A 91 from WS
Golden yellow, nicely balanced with faint acidity and nice finish. An enjoyable, easy to drink wine.
