  Tasted at Italian Village Chicago producers dinner.
  The WOTN - Wine of the Night - perfectly paired with the short rib beef course, dark purple colored, full bodied, concentrated and firmly structured yet nicely balanced, black berry fruits with intense aromatics with spice, black tea, tobacco and leather with firm gripping tannins and lively acidity on the cloying finish.

  This is all about power, perfume and elegance. It starts with a delightful whiff of violets and then builds. There are notes of black cherry and spiced plum and a suggestion of tobacco. It has great richness in the mouth but is underpinned by a line of minerally acidity. The finish drives on and on and it should be splendid in a decade or more but is exceptional now because of the wine's impeccable balance.
