My my my, I love this wine. I’ve had about 8 of these, so sad I’m down to my last 4. As another taster said, this is what Sangiovese should be. Had last night’s bottle after a mid-range 2008 Brunello and this bottle was more enjoyable and much fresher. Stylistically in line with Stew Johnson’s house style. Light color and somewhat translucent. Beautiful nose, a bit reductive upon opening but that blows off. All in balance on the palate, nice acidity, nice freshness in the fruit. Modest finish. Picked these up on Stew’s pandemic pricing, by far the best QPR of 2020.

Very lightly extracted juice; much more like a very light Pinot Noir. Nose has potpourri or rose-y hints. It's very familiar and light, but i can't place it. Plenty of acid, but again: "light". This doesn't bowl you over and i like that. Medium finish. Really enjoyable.

Unfortunately only got six of these. Can add nothing to the earlier notes that are spot on.

still red fruited and good acid and easy and delightful - perfect pizza wine. What sangiovese should be.
