  • Strawberry and menthol on the nose. On the palate, rich black cherry, cranberry, and currant with notes of mint, pen ink, and savory herbs on the medium to long finish, with strong, smooth tannins and good acidity. Although this is not as intensely tannic as some other Sagrantinos, it is a good example of the variety. It should hold for several years, and integrate some of the tannins, and it may improve somewhat as it does. This is a good to very good value at a little over $35.
