Full bodied with moderate acid and mild tannin. Ripened raspberry and wet moss on the nose. No need to decent. On the palate you find tame red fruit, with cardamom, forest floor, and a hint of baking . It has a pleasant velvet mouth feel.

Translucent ruby color with aromas of dark and red fruit, black tea. savory spice, clove and a hint of florality. On the palate it's medium-bodied with mouth-watering acidity and well integrated polished tannins with black cherry, strawberry, raspberry, and cola flavors accented with savory spice with a long mineral driven finish. 100% Pinot with Dijon clones 777 and 667 from the east and west side of the Hallberg Ranch. Raised in French Oak (40% new) for 15 months. 13.7% abv|SRP - $60|937 cases produced

Opened, but did not decant, for 30 minutes. It needed more time, as the nose and much of the fruit remained muted for another hour. After 90 minutes, this pinot finally blossomed with deep rich fruit and good acid. Medium body. The finish also improved with time.

A good presentation of RRV PN. Cherry, dark fruit and spice with solid acidity and a well-balanced finish. Needs time to open so a little patience will be rewarded. This is my first experience with Gary Farrell PN and I am happy with it. Recently I tend towards Oregon PNs but this wine restored my faith in RRV PN.

Dark berries and earthy. Enough body & depth for a Cabernet Sauvignon snob
