First year that Bradley switched from 19-20mo in neutral oak to amphora casks. Massively different wine. Drank as a vertical with friends vs '14, plus Kamen Viognier (for comparison kicks) in a palella cooking party. The 16 had a similar but frutier nose as the 14 but the finish was shockingly different. The lack of tannins made this 16 much better suited to the saffron rice. If there was no sausage the Viognier would have been perfect pairing, but this was my pick with the chorizo. This is a more typical grenache than the oaked Grizzlies of earlier vintages. A different wine, frankly.
