Pale brick color; Bouquet uninteresting at first then scents of rasberry, jammy, going to notes of pepper and pine; Body was frank with no pretense smooth, some pepper and spice, but low fruit (maybe gone?), low acidity, light tanins

Very good, could probably gain from aging, drank twice. First with T-Bone steak au poivre. The wine was up to the task, but its own pepper taste lost. The strong cherry-blossom bouquet and bright red robe were accompanied with a very clean, crisp finish with a taste that was difficult to discern given the strong pepper sauce with the steak. The astringency was perfect - boldly cleansing the palate. Day2, drank with roast turkey left-overs, mashed potatoes, onions, carrots - Aroma still perfect, taste presented itself as peppery with hints of licorice. Better on Day 2 with less fatty, less strong food accompaniment.

Vague red berries, maybe cherry in the nose with a vegetal, sour smell. Off balance and too acidic. Bottle was not corked, but may not have breathed for long enough; or maybe age will improve greenness.

Disappointing--lacks flavor and finish. I left this in the cellar longer, hoping for something to happen, but alas, it was still less than stellar.

It took a while to open up. When purchased I had high hopes for this wine but as time went on, it has not lived up to my expectations.
