Reticent aromatics of damp soil and red Pinot fruit. The palate is bright and crunchy textured, no 2000 softness here. But it's smooth and satisfying with its light weight balance act, and it's got a bit of a tannic frame left to it. Is it a deep wine? No. But it scratched that burgundy itch for me.
